Workshop in Rome!!

Thank you so much for the Good luck-wishes and all the comments for my trip to Rome!!
Yesterday I landed back in freezing cold Norway after a wonderful adventure together with my mother to Rome! We took some photos, that I will show you now. They don't say everything, but you will get the impression of what a fantastic time this was:))
Over is a photo of Barbara, me and Gio.
Sweet, wonderful Barbara picked us up at the airport, and I saw her at once. She stood there waving with a gorgeous "Welcome sign" with a Tilda image on!:)) And she is just so warm, fun and hospitable. We lived in the apartment she shared with her lovely mother Tamara.
Do you see the aprons we are wearing? Tamara made one for each of us entering the workshop. It is just amazing, and has small rooms for the things you need when crafting;) The letters TSM stands for Timbroscrapmania, ofcourse!;) That is the name for Barbara's shop.
And I learned that "Timbro" means "stamp" in Italian.
Here is the table ready for the workshop. We started around half past eight on Saturday, then the lovely and fun girls from Sardinia had arrived.
Here are some photos of the calendar we were going to make in the workshop. I had used about three weeks to finished it, and now we had one day!

The first thing we did was to paint the top, middle and the bottom with white acrylic paint. My mother was very helpful.
Then we made all the 24 boxes. Barbara had cut them out in advance, and we had to fold them together, and inked them with Distress Ink, Walnut Stain.
Here are the cookies that the Sardinian girls brought with them. Many of the partisipants had with them cakes, gifts and other crafts that they had made. So many new things for me!
Some of the girls spoked English, but not many of them. Barbara translated, so that helped a lot!
After lunch we had a photo shoot! Can you tell the Sardinian girls were much fun!:)) You can also read from Sadia's blog about the workshop.
Here again:) They were so lovely and nice! If you look closely you can see that I am wearing a lovely necklace that Gio had made for me!! I love it! Actually I wore it to work back home today:) Thank you again Gio.
Under is Lucia with her's almost finished project! As the rest, she was really talented. If you visit her blog, you can see that she makes the most wonderful Magnolia ceramics balls. And she was so lovely to come back on Sunday bringing me one of the fantastic balls!! I will show photos of it later:)) Thank you so much Lucia!! I have it hanging in the window in my husbands shop, Hjerteboden.
The last ones left at half past eight in the evening on Saturday! It had been a long but amazing day for me!!
Under is from day 2, Sunday. And another group of girls. Look at all the boxes!!
Under is Elisabeth and Sara. Elisabet had also her sweet, sweet daughter with her. It is Aurora with the blue top. You can also read about the workshop in Elisabeth's blog.
Ok, here I am:) I am sitting beside Lina. And Lina works in Barbara's shop. She is also a part of the Timbroscrapmania's DT.
Here is me and Aurora. She is just 18, but already so very talented!:) Doesn't she look like an angel?:)
And here is me and Barbara with another talented Lucia in the middle:)
Here you can see that the girls are almost finish with building up the calendar. They were very clever!
Here is Sara putting on the top. She had designed her own necklace, on the computer! I have will also show photos of that in a later post.
Under is Francesca and Vanessa. Francesca has a little baby girl called Camilla!:)) And Vanessa is making wonderful felt-figures, that she gave to everyone! They were just so lovely. I got a cute little (big) gingerbread man:) Thank you so much Vanessa!
I think I have to stop now, orelse the post will bore you. But I will also show you some photos from our adventure in the Rome city and some of the things that the ladies entering the workshop had made! Maybe on Thursday, because tomorrow I will be back with another exciteing post;)
THANK YOU SO MUCH BARBARA FOR MAKING MY MOTHER'S AND MY WEEKEND SO SPECIAL!! Say hello to Tyson and Tamara:)
Thank you for visiting my blog and have a good night!

MDUC #74 ~ Summer theme

Here comes my DT-card for MDUC for the week to come.
The challenge will be to make a Summer theme card! I did go for the nautical style. The truth is that I didn't have much time making this card, with the preparations for my trip to Rome, so I used an image that I had coloured up this summer, but hadn't put on a card yet. (I wanted to use the mermaid, but since I often uses several hours just colouring an image, I used this instead:))
Sailor Tilda is from Magnolias summer kit for 2010. I just love that kit:))
She is coloured with Distress Ink, reinkers. If you notice that she is a bit paler than usual, it is because I had mixed the colours tattered rose and vintage photo in advance, and it made a lighter colour. Usually I start with only vintage photo on the image, then add tattered rose. That way she gets a bit darker, cause the vintage photo has already fasten itself to the paper.
The text and the rope are also from the Summer kit 10. The papers are from Magnolia, and I have also used a currigated cardboard, and a ticket from Tim Holtz. The cardboard is coloured with Crackle Paint-Picket Fence and Rock Candy.
All paperedges are inked with Walnut Stain and sewed.
I hope you like it and that I have inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge. The rest of my teamies have made some stunning creations for you as always. Pop over and have a look!

Thank you so much for visiting!! And have a wonderful evening:))
I am sure I have, in ROME!!!!!:)))

I am so looking foreward to meet Barbara and her mother, who we are staying with. It is so kind of them to open their house for us.

Some of them has been commenting here on my blog, so I know:)
And I have also been told that Gio from Sardinia is coming!! WOW!! Such an honour to meet her too.
Here on the photos you can see what we are going to make, yes an Advent Calendar!
Using Magnolia images and Maja Design Papers.
I used some weeks on mine, so it will be exciteing to see how much we will manage to create in one day!:)
So wish me luck!!;)

Another babycard:)

I got a question from a co-worker to make a baptism card for her. She wanted an easel card, and similar to the other babycards I have made resently:)
Now I see that all the photos are closeups, but I hope you can see the card anyway. I gave it away today, so to late to take some more pics..
This is sweet Tilda from Magnolia, but on a boy card. He is coloured with Distress Ink, reinkers. I have also added Distress Ink, Walnut Stain to all the paper edges, and a little on the flowers.
The text is from Stempelglede. All the papers are from Magnolia too. I have added Stickles-Star Dust to the image, and Stickles-Platinum to the flowers and some of the paperedges.
The tag is a DooHickey from Magnolia. I have also used a Martha Stewart punch-Doily Lace. The letters are Thickers from American Crafts.
I have added liquid pearls-White opal to the scallops.
You can see the card from one side under. You may see the small criss-cross card that I have attached to the lowest part of the easel card...
{You can also read this post in my Magnoliablog}
I will enter the challenge #130 at A Spoon Full of Sugar with this card, which is Distressing.
I know that I have promised you a tea light card, it is finished, but there is only one little thing first that I have to find out before I show it to you;)) Coming soon, I promise.
Thank you for visiting my blog! Have a lovely evening:)

Her sitter Bente med sitt nydelige telyskort. Hun var veldig produktiv denne dagen!
Vi kom til Bergen på fredag, og fikk overnatte hos Bente. Utrolig koselig, med ost, vin og champagne!
Under sitter Audhild og fargelegger et motiv.

Og her sitter Janne:
Men se hvem som kom!! Er det ikke...??:)
En stor takk til Lene som arrangerte Strilascrappen!
Neste post blir nok av telyskortet jeg laget der;)
Ha en super uke!!
Nå er det under to uker til mamma og jeg reiser til Roma!!:))
Klem, Camilla

MDUC #72 ~ Shabby Chic

I had a lot of fun with the challenge this week, which is to make a Shabby Chic card. I love to roughen up the edges, use Distress Ink on the paperedges, and add roses and laces:))
Here is a close up of the sweet Tilda from Magnolia.
Tilda is coloured with Distress Ink,reinkers. Mostly in the colours walnut stain and weathered wood. I have added Stickles-Star Dust to her wing and the laces on her dress. She has also got some pearls in her ears.
For the flowers I have distressed them a bit with walnut stain, then added Stickles-Platinum.
Around the image I have used a stamp from Stempelglede. Just to give it a more shabby look:) I have put a feather behind the image, and over that I have put the Angel Wing from Magnolia's DooHickey's. The borderpunch I have used is from Martha Stewart. The text in the left corner is also made by a Stempelglede stamp (the new ones).
I hope you like it and that I have inspired you to join us this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge. The rest of my teamies have made some stunning creations for you as always. Pop over and have a look!
